During the course, you will shape, decorate and enamel your clay sculptures, then you will experience their spectacular firing in the fire. You will leave with your cracked and/ or smoky works in Raku The Raku is a cooking technique of Korean origin that dates from the sixteenth. It was developed in Japan, especially for the tea ceremony. Each piece in Raku evokes the four elements: Earth The piece is hand-shaped or around in chamottée clay. Fire The room is first fired at 900°C. Then enamelled by rapid firing Oven outlet at 1000°C and laid in wood chips on fire L'Air The unglazed areas of the room are blackened in the smoke from the chips. Soaked in a cold water bath, the temperature difference causes subtle or spectacular cracks in the enamel.
