The French car company Altra is trying to get noticed at the Amsterdam show with a displacement that transforms into a rolling house. Mr. Hulot accompanies the car designer to serve as his interpreter and prepare the company’s stand.
At the crossroads of electronic music and psychedelic pop, the trio Temps Calme offers tracks combining guitars cleverly reverberated with the warmth of analog synthesizers and the subtle touch of an inventive drum. Sometimes melodic, sometimes planing, the trio’s retrofuturistic score exudes an irrepressible charm and embarks viewers in a singular rereading of Tati’s cinematic masterpiece, a new multisensory experience that is both demanding and eminently pop.
