ASCQ 44 - Street art exhibition

  • Exposition
  • Visite - Balade

From November 23, 2025 to June 28, 2026, the Ascq Memorial 1944 exhibits the works of 10 street art artists who have appropriated the theme of the Ascq massacre.
The Memorial presents the exhibition "Ascq 44" designed by the association Terres du Nord, Terre de combats. The works of regional street art artists look back at significant moments of the tragic night from 1 to 2 April 1944 when 86 men from Ascq were executed by SS.
Created with different techniques such as painting, graffiti, or drawing, the works are accompanied by texts and poems. Tables are set against the text of the telephone exchanges between Elie Derache at Ascq station and Mr. Moity at Lille station. A poignant text that summarizes minute by minute the progress of events that can also be listened to on the telephone exchange in the museum.
Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 PM to 5 PM and the 4th Sunday of the month from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
