In the footsteps of factories. If Roubaix keeps in its streets the imprint of its industrial past, and many buildings often reconverted, many factories, chimneys and run have disappeared. Fortunately, La Grand-Plage preserves documents that bring closer the location, appearance, and activities of the disappeared buildings. In turn, these ancient and fragile documents must be protected. The Municipal Archives joins the Heritage and Communities poles to offer children and adults activities that will allow them to discover or revive in their own way the disappeared factories.

La Criée room, Sunday 3 p.m. – free entry: - Projection Factories, wastelands, how to save our industrial heritage. In this first issue of the TV show Les héros du patrimoine (France 3), presenter Adrien Gavazzi visits industrial wastelands in Roubaix and the region, interviews those concerned and wonders about the future of factories. What should be done with these testimonies from the past? Transform them? Yes, but how? This documentary does not give all the answers but it opens the debate, which we will continue at the end of the screening.
