Visual arts workshops "The MEL stories"

The photographer Olivier Despicht and the video artist Erik Chevalier, will animate visual arts workshops based on archival photographs.

During the session, participants are invited to play with photographs. Cut, combine, divert, create, paste, compare, exchange... and appropriate them to reinvent stories! A way to discover the construction of a photograph and to train one’s eye on both the formal aspects and the message that an image can convey.
A workshop is offered to children from 8 to 11 years old to make a diorama with integration of a micro-mapping.
For teens from 12 to 16 years, the session is devoted to the development of a book-accordion (or leporello), on the principle of an exquisite corpse, linking writings, photographs taken by participants and archive shots.
Each workshop takes place over a single 3-hour session.
Several slots are available.

• For the 8-11 year old diorama/micro-mapping workshop: 24 May, 14 June, 20 September, 21 October (14h-17h).
• For the Leporello workshop of 12-16 years old: 25 May, 15 June, 21 September, 22 October (14h-17h).
