The TEAM2 Pole launches its Cafés Europe!
Each session will be devoted to a different project and theme: feedback, calls for projects, presentation of results, future prospects, etc.
Zoom ON 3DFORMWORKS
3DFORMWORKS aims at the 3D printing of permanent formwork in "low carbon" cementitious inks for the production of complex-shaped parts in the field of construction and refractory. These sectors face many challenges: new industrial revolution, need for competitiveness, reduction of costs and waste, adaptation to environmental issues.
Context around the project
In the cross-border Interreg area France-Wallonia-Vlaanderen (FWVL), industrialists from the construction sector mainly bring together SMEs. To stay competitive, they have a strategy of reducing production costs rather than innovating and diversifying their production.
Why this project?
In the field of 3D concrete printing, innovation projects would help SMEs to minimize the risks of investing in this type of innovation.
3DFORMWORKS, targets the production of parts with complex shapes in the field of construction and refractory by 3D printing technology for the design of the external shape of the part by producing a "permanent formwork" in cementitious ink, into which a traditional concrete will then be poured.
