Screening followed by a film-debate in partnership with the Syndicat de la magistrature, Les Amis du Monde Diplomatique and the Ligue des droits de l'Homme.
UPRISINGS is a choral portrait: sixteen voices, sixteen trajectories, to dive into the heart of an intergenerational resistance movement carried by a youth that fights against land and water grabbing, industrial ravages, the rise of totalitarianism and political repression.
The film follows how, everywhere in France, multiple forces come together, experiment with other ways of living, and establish links with the living—opening a space for reflection... and of possibilities.
Beyond the observation, it is a film that also seeks to make people feel: how solidarities are born, what 'resisting' changes in a life, and how collective action already creates the future.
To (re)discover, after the screening, the debate (with our partners) will allow to discuss the issues raised by the film: public freedoms, justice, repression, ecology, forms of engagement.
