The installation "Délivrance" by Matéo Maté, inspired by the memory richness of the Lommois district of Délivrance resonates in the landscape of their daily lives and that of the world, the past and present of the Lomm city.
«A train crosses a landscape made of newspapers that tell the present and past events in Lomme and around the world. The traveler sees news, events, and characters that shape the reality of this moment. Politics and human conflicts are brief moments that define our daily landscape, remaining in our memory as one more layer in the endless history.
A projector connected to a camera installed on the train displays in real time on a screen what the camera captures. The change of scale transforms the landscape into something real, a journey through Lomme and European cities. Everyone sees reality through their own obsessions. Subjectivity defines our relationship to the world in this archaeology of our inner visions.”
