WHO’S STEIN?
Stein van Oosteren is a diplomat, author and activist for the ecological transition, famous for his commitment to cycling and active mobility in France. He founded the association FARàVélo before becoming the first spokesperson of the Collectif Vélo Île-de-France in 2019. As such, he plays a decisive role in the promotion and emergence of the "VIF" project (Réseau Vélo Île-de-France), a regional network of secure bicycle facilities.
An enthusiastic writer and lecturer, he stands out for his positive, educational and constructive approach to citizen activism. He is the author of several influential books, including Pourquoi pas le vélo? (2021) and Désir d'agir (2025). Through his interventions and media visibility, Stein van Oosteren embodies the desire to reinvent public space to make our cities more human, friendly and sustainable.

The association Les Chemins du Zéro Déchet (LCDZD) was born from the citizen momentum driven by the film Demain.
For the past 10 years, we have been bringing the region to life through collective and positive actions: Brand Repair Café, Incredible Edibles, Zero-Waste Families Challenge, film debates, and cultural partnerships.
More than an association, LCDZD is a human adventure where we test, learn and reinvent our daily lifestyles - always in joy and conviviality!
