"L'Âme des Friches" questions the way in which photography transforms a place into a space of mental projection. The wastelands, marked by absence, silence and traces of time, do not deliver a single story: they invite everyone to leave their memories, emotions and imagination. The photographic image does not only reveal a landscape, it opens a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between the memory of the place and that of the spectator. The soul of the wastelands is then neither entirely in the ruins, nor only in the gaze, but in this sensitive space where photography gives rise to stories, reminiscences and emotions that everyone builds from their own projections." The exhibition will be visible from October 13 to November 13, 2026 at the CAUE du Nord, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and by appointment.
