The Non-Lieu offers an exploration of the graphic collection of the Cavrois-Mahieu factory and its partners who are committed to defending, promoting and reclaiming industrial heritage.
An opportunity to focus on the external image of the factory, as found on letterhead papers, labels, catalogs or advertisements. As many communication supports produced by the factory and which reflect an idealized vision of the industry. This external communication is coupled with an interior visual identity that tells about life within the factory. Safety posters, information panels, signage demonstrate the attention paid to graphics and the awareness of their usefulness in effectively supporting the operation of the factory.
These official visual and typographic codes do not prevent the existence of clandestine graphics by the workers, who in their own way also rustle the factory with their own messages. These graffiti will have inspired college students on the occasion of a writing workshop combining writing and photography, and whose result, "Life is not a kiwi" will be exhibited.
