Sun. 20 Sept.

> Conference "Sauver les œuvres" / From 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Saving works – examples of heritage restoration in the museum
La Piscine As part of the national theme "Heritage in peril: revive, resist, reinvent", a conference is proposed by Florence Douxami, painter and conservator. The restorations of two of our works will be discussed: The panoramic view of the inauguration of the new town hall of Roubaix, 1911 as well as the work of Simon Bussy Still life (architectural elements, bouquets, trees), 1918, frieze having adorned the villa "Villula" in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. How can we make the works legible without betraying the gestures of artists or craftsmen? After a presentation of the issues, biases and problems encountered, a reading in front of these two works allows to observe the interventions that were necessary.
Auditorium then facing the works. Within the limit of 96 places available. Registration at the reception from 2:30 pm.

> Visit by the artist Naime Merabet / From 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm (reservation required)
