The Red Door – Old Milk Drop
The Porte Rouge is located in the heart of a historic and emblematic ensemble of Roubaix, the Goutte de lait. As early as 1912, this institution worked for access to quality milk for working families, thus limiting hygienic risks and infant mortality. After the closure of the site in the 1950s and the abandonment of the building in 1984, Jean-Charles Huet, architect, and Nathalie Pauchant, decide to buy the whole. They retain the facade and lean against it a contemporary construction. Today, this place houses guest rooms and the ceramic workshop of Nathalie Pauchant. Guided tour, Saturday at 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm
