They sing to resist. Created in 2012 in Kyiv, a refugee in France since the Russian invasion, this feminine company travels around the world to bring the voice of its people. These musicians and actresses allow themselves all the audacity to better denounce Putin’s crimes and, more broadly, the horror of war. On stage, the five artist-fighters of Dakh Daughters combine cello, accordion, guitar, percussion, powerful singing and double bass in a show mixing video projections and theater. By marrying traditional Ukrainian melodies and rock, they create a punk concert detonating! As burlesque as it is poetic, this show resonates like a cry of rage and hope.
