Southern Italy, at nap time. Maria, nicknamed the sister of Jesus Christ, walks through her village, family pistol in hand, towards Angelo le Couillon’s house. Gradually the rumor spreads and the villagers gather behind it.
The sister of Jesus Christ is the story of violence and shame, the story of a young woman who publicly exposes her anger and determination and walks, under the gaze of everyone, towards the reconquest of her dignity.
