Understand the construction techniques used by our ancestors to build and decorate prehistoric, ancient and medieval buildings.
Agathé Temporis will offer many participatory workshops that will allow you to discover the tools of the Roman surveyor: the groma, the archipendule, the chorobate... Thanks to models, the plans of a domus in Pompeii or a street in Ostia will have no secrets for you. From the design of a building to its final realization, the History Transporter will make you explore the stages, trades and organization of a construction site of the Middle Ages, while the ymagier John Serrat will introduce you to sculpture in connection with Romanesque and Gothic art.
On the occasion of these exceptional days, we invite you to follow the progress of a Roman site. You will see the construction of a masonry with the tools and methods of the time: from the work of bricks, rubble and cut stones, to painted plasters and the manufacture of a column.
