Built at the end of the 19th century, the Gymnasium is an emblematic Roubaix building whose construction is linked to the military and hygienist vision of the time. In 1875, the Roubaisienne, the city’s first gymnastics society, was born. It occupied the premises until 1995. In 2003, the association Danse à Lille, which later became the Gymnase Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National, moved to the site and developed its activities, in a continuity of the body’s work. In 2017, the Gymnasium is labeled Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National. Opening on Saturday from 5 pm Eva Assayas’ ‘ESPACEES’ show, Saturday at 6 pm Guided tour following the show
