" The site of La Lainière from yesterday to today " as part of the JEP 2025 by the Friends of Lainière and Textile Association.
The exhibition traces the history of the most emblematic textile company "la Lainière de Roubaix". This giant of the French industry, known throughout the world thanks to the Pingouin Wool, was a real city within the city. La Lainière de Roubaix was founded in 1911 by Jean Prouvost, grandson of the founder of Peignage Amédée Prouvost.
