Musical reading by Camille Corcéjoli – Transatlantique

  • Exposition
  • Lecture

As part of the exhibition Les corps élastiques, the Institut pour la photographie welcomes Camille Corcéjoli for a musical reading of Transatlantique. In resonance with the themes of the exhibition, this performance explores the transformations of the body, the passages and the narratives that accompany them.
A time for exchange and signature is planned after the reading.
“Alex takes his lifelong friends, Louise, Djo, and Harli, on a road trip across the United States. Destination: the clinic of West Lake Hills, which he chose to get rid of her breasts. From the queer Texan bars to the Brooklyn roller coaster, musical reading propels us into the daily life of this journey and into the story of Alex’s transition. A joyful and turbulent crossing of the genre and the Atlantic where humor and the unexpected come to challenge the reality of transphobic violence.”
Camille Corcéjoli was born in 1987 and lives in Lille. He is an author, teacher, and researcher in social sciences. His work questions the intimate to think about feminism, gender and sexuality. Transatlantique is his first novel.
