Listed as a Historic Monument, the Saint-Pierre Church in Bouvines brings to life, through its 21 dazzling stained-glass windows, the scenes of the battle fought in the summer of 1214. This true “graphic novel” guides you through the key stages of the battle, helping you understand the military strategies, political stakes, and historical consequences of this major event, rich in emotion and heroism.
Meeting point on the church forecourt, rue Jeanne d’Arc in Bouvines.
This tour is available from April, every second Sunday of the month at 5 p.m.
