Built in 1860, the church of Saint Francis of Assisi is the work of Achille Dewarlez, the great architect of Roubaix. Adjoining a convent, the complex was occupied by the Franciscan Fathers until 1973. In the neo-Gothic style, it is full of artistic treasures. It is now the subject of a large campaign of work, making its interior invisible. Nevertheless, discover its history and architecture thanks to the Friends of Saint Francis of Assisi. Exhibition and projection of archives on the occupation of the convent by the Franciscan fathers from 1860 to 1973, as well as on the actors who make live the building Explanation commented on Our Lady of Assistance known as «The Virgin of Roubaix» and the history of the Franciscans in Roubaix
