A courtier is preparing to welcome the king’s return. He repeats, trains, and stages himself. Between coded gestures, parade and virtuoso juggling, he tries to be perfect.
But little by little, doubt settles: what happens without a king? Should he invent one, or become himself?
In a baroque and queer universe, the character transforms and sometimes gets lost. A sensitive and funny reflection on the gaze of others and on the control of one’s image.
