In a world saturated with worries, two children who are opposed to everything go on the discovery of reality. Merveille grows up lulled by the stories of his father, who calls himself a hunter of dreams even though he is a worker at the factory. Opposite lives Medusa, trained to ward off all dangers by a mother convinced that society is violent. A sudden event propels them out of their cocoon. Together, they will cross the beauties and asperities of the world, gradually building their own gaze. Lisa Guez signs an initiatory tale that is aimed at both adults and children. The director conjures up an age-old motif: this being we want to keep safe and who, in order to grow, must face the wolves. Very contemporary questions about parental overprotection and desires that are stifled. A show that trusts the intelligence of young spectators and reminds the grown-ups that they, too, once had to escape the illusion.
