A figure of contemporary Greek dance, Christos Papadopoulos fascinates by the precision of his choral works with a very elaborate plastic dimension. With My Fierce Ignorant Step, he signs his most personal work. On stage, ten dancers move forward with a determined step, looking fixedly at the audience. Their breath becomes pulsation, their gesture becomes language, in a continuous rise carried by the electronic composition of Kornilios Selamsis. Without ever consulting, they form a single body, crossed by an increasing energy. This momentum comes from afar. Nourished by the monumental work Axion Esti by Mikis Theodorakis, the choreographer revives the Greek collective memory to better respond to the darkness of the present. Hoping together, he recalls, remains an act of courage.
