The City of Villeneuve d'Ascq and the Franco-Chilean association Cordillera are organizing a commemorative gathering in tribute to Salvador Allende, on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., on the forecourt of the Town Hall.

Programme

From 6:30 pm onwards:

• laying of wreaths;
• speaking from the Cordillera association;
• intervention by the Mayor;
  The rally will continue at the Nelson Mandela House of Human Rights with:
• Songs
• the presentation of the exhibition "Interior Landscapes" by the Chilean artist Valeria Aqueveque;
• the creation of a participatory fresco-graffiti around the project "Interior Landscapes of a People";
• a pot of friendship offered by the City.
