How to age well at home without (too) bothering others!
Since Jeannette, his wife has left, Auguste, a septuagenarian by turns, exasperatingly funny and poignant, gets bored despite his seven cats and persists in remaining alone in his old house in the middle of a village that is dying.
Stay, leave?
What can be done to help her, her daughter-in-law Magalie thought? What means to break the loneliness of an old stubborn man viscerally attached to his house?
What does our company offer?
From a worrying situation the author offers a play full of surprises, twists, emotions and also laughter...
Deeply rooted in the culture of our region (Auguste speaks an authentic patois that is very accessible to everyone), this piece raises a universal question: aging, yes, of course, but with whom? Where? How? And without tormenting those around.....
Through various situations, often comical, one perceives the criticism of a society that sometimes proposes false solutions to a real problem.
Charlemagne, for his 7th creation, is a touching and true Auguste.
Claude Chevalier brilliantly, in French (and for one of them, in Chti) five portraits of women who, each in their turn, try to help this old cabochard continue to live as he sees fit.
Yves Bourges staged Agathe Martincic at the control room
Francis Martincic against the backdrop
