Being visible seems to have become a prerequisite for social existence: we must show ourselves, tell our stories, document ourselves, and continually produce traces of our lives. Yet, in our quest to see everything, what are we actually looking at? For the artists, looking at and listening to the invisibles become an act of attention, almost of care.
