Founded in 1911, La Lainière de Roubaix was one of the most emblematic textile companies in France. The site of this giant of the industry, known worldwide thanks to the wools of the penguin, was a real city in the city. The Friends of La Lainière, association of former workers created in 2010, invite you to discover the history of La Lainière through the exhibition Textile: past, present, future presented in the house of the project located on the site of the old factory. Free visit Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm Guided tour on request and reservation at the Tourist Office of Wattrelos
