Visit of the Fort du Vert Galant in Wambrechies

The Fort du Vert Galant is a witness of the crown of forts of General Séré de Rivières called «single crested» built in the aftermath of the war of 1870 around Lille, built to protect Lille from a possible new Prussian invasion and its German allies. A centenary history, marked by the seal of the immediate obsolescence of this type of building, but also especially by the blood of the people who were executed there during the Second World War.
This tour is available on Saturday 20 June, Saturday 18 July and Wednesday 9 September at 11am.
