The Parc des Sports is an emblematic place of Roubaix’s sporting and architectural heritage. Built between 1925 and 1930, it was designed by the architect Jacques Gréber. At the initiative of Mayor Jean-Baptiste Lebas, the 20-hectare complex is intended in particular to spread the practice of sport to the greatest number. On site, the velodrome André Pétrieux welcomes each year the arrival of the mythical race of Paris-Roubaix. The STAB velodrome covered regional Jean Stablinski opens its doors in 2012.
