Born in Maubeuge among a sibling of dancers, Sofiane Chalal chose to place his body said "out of norms" at the heart of his work. Après Ma part d'ombre, an intimate solo played more than 150 times, he broadens the focus with XXL. Four performers now share the stage, all concerned by the same experience, that of being perceived as "too much". Too big, too heavy, too visible. From their daily life, their bodies and their narrative, Sofiane Chalal composes a choreographic writing that thwarts the oxymorons—power and lightness, precision and overflow—to better defuse the grossophobic gaze.
