Emma Prat (singing) and Bertrand Maïlar (guitar) discover the common desire to tell a story, to circulate emotions, to sing diversity and hope. From this meeting is born "AÂMA" which means global, common, universal. More than a name, it is a true artistic manifesto. Joined by Sami Foukani-Descamps (double bass), Julien Girard (piano) and Xavier Pernet (drums). Together, they have forged a unique sound, mixing sensitivity and audacity while transcending genres and borders.
The music of AÂMA is located on the border of jazz, traditional music from Africa, the Mediterranean or song. It oscillates with fluidity between the lyricism of the Orient, the freedom of jazz, the narrative depth of the song, the rhythms of Africa. It is "the promise of a sweet journey".
