Conference The Palais Rameau reinvented: architecture at the service of a new

  • Conférence - Rencontre

The Palais Rameau, an emblematic 19th century building in Lille, is being revitalised thanks to the rehabilitation project carried out by Atelier 9.81 and Perrot & Richard Architectes for the Junia engineering school. This transformation is based on a frugal approach, combining heritage preservation, architectural innovation and environmental ambition. With its listed historic building and its impressive volumes, it allowed us to imagine a place dedicated to urban agriculture and the food of tomorrow according to the concept "from farm to fork". The Palais Rameau thus offers students, teachers and JUNIA partners a hybrid space combining learning, research and experimentation. By: Geoffrey Galand and Cédric Michel, architects co-managers, Atelier 9.81.
