These photos come from the Augustin Boutique-Grard collection.
Augustin Boutique (1862-1944), born in Valenciennes, devoted his life to photography. Settled in Douai as an amateur photographer between 1894 and 1914, he put his talent at the service of the monumental heritage of his region. He was also the photographer-reporter of great festive events and scenes of daily life, testifying to the society of the early 20th century. From his many trips across France, he reports remarkable views of monuments in major cities.
