Founded in 1845 under the name of Notre-Dame-des-Victoires, the lycée Saint-Rémi is one of the great educational institutions born with the industrial boom of Roubaix. Its chapel, built in 1893, retains its heritage decorations, such as stained glass windows, organ and a painting of the Crucifixion by Eugene Leroy.
This year, the high school is also hosting the Société d'Émulation de Roubaix, for the exhibition and prize-giving of its photography competition Roubaix dans les yeux.
