The Historical Association of Mons-en-Barœul invites you to Fort Macdonald.
Discover this fort built between 1878 and 1880 on agricultural land in a strategic location since located at 47 meters above sea level.
The German army occupied the building during the two world wars of the 20th century. He also served in transmission units, including a pigeon fancier section between the two wars. Property of the city since 1973, it is now a cultural place.
