Permanence of the Grainothèque - Nelson Mandela House

  • Développement durable

The Grainothèque de Villeneuve-d'Ascq has the distinction of not being open access. It is hosted by volunteers from theAPC (Association for the Promotion of Citizenship) and of Gardeners of Villeneuve d'Ascq who welcome you with pleasure to exchange, share their experiences and advise you.
The operation of the Grainothèque is simple:
Take seeds
The volunteers prepare a bag for you containing the desired seeds and can advise you on how to sow them.
You can take seeds even if you don’t have any to exchange. However, we are counting on you to bring some back during the next season!
Give seeds
To donate your seeds, put them in an envelope or pouch and note:

  • Name of the seed (e.g.: black tomato from Crimea)
  • Harvest date (ex.: 09/24 or September 2024)
  • Origin (e.g.: Villeneuve-d'Ascq garden, Bocquet seeds)
⚠️ Attention: we do not accept F1 hybrid seeds.
📍 Nelson Mandela House of Human Rights and Associations – from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, every 2nd Monday of the month, from February to October
